The Application System Analyst Senior acts as a liaison between system end-users, operational leaders, support teams, and vendors to design, build, and optimize assigned applications. This role provides advanced application support and optimization while ensuring operational needs are met.
The Analyst will handle medium to high complexity projects, collaborating with customers, service desks, and project teams to analyze, configure, test, document, and implement solutions. This position requires strong healthcare knowledge, systems expertise, and the ability to work independently and within team environments.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze, design, configure, test, document, implement, and optimize assigned applications and workflows
- Lead and provide guidance on quality assurance and testing initiatives, including complex integrated testing processes
- Apply advanced knowledge of clinical and business operations to ensure solutions meet organizational needs
- Conduct gap analysis, provide cross-application recommendations, and participate in strategy discussions with stakeholders
- Collaborate with operational leaders to standardize workflows, improve efficiencies, and enhance operational processes
- Coordinate code changes with vendors and collaborate with technical teams to resolve application issues
- Serve as a liaison between business operations, IT, system users, and vendors for issue and problem resolution
- Follow change management standards for system configuration, testing, and validation
- Mentor and guide junior team members, providing oversight on design, configuration, and deliverables
- Independently manage medium to large-scale projects with minimal supervision
- Build strong, positive relationships with clients, end-users, and team members
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve moderate incidents and service requests
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred in healthcare, business, or information systems
- Ability to present complex data clearly using charts, graphs, and visualizations
- Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities
- 5+ years in healthcare, business, or information systems
- Experience independently handling complex projects with minimal guidance
- Demonstrated ability to develop new functionality and lead multidisciplinary teams
- Strong project management, communication, and mentoring skills
- Proven expertise in healthcare systems and operations
- Epic Analysts:
Certified or proficient in assigned Epic module (must obtain within 6 months of employment) - Must maintain certifications with updated version training
