Senior Power BI & Power Platform Developer Overview
We are seeking a Senior Power BI & Power Platform Developer to design, optimize, and scale enterprise analytics solutions. This role focuses primarily on advanced Power BI development and enterprise semantic model ownership (approximately 70%), with additional responsibility for building and supporting Power Apps solutions (approximately 30%) that operationalize insights.
The ideal candidate brings a strong developer mindset — combining critical thinking, architectural awareness, and accountability for performance, governance, and lifecycle management. This role also contributes to data strategy, governance standards, and semantic layer design in collaboration with the broader team.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and optimize enterprise Power BI semantic models supporting large datasets (1GB+).
- Implement best‑practice dimensional modeling (star schema preferred) and advanced DAX logic to ensure scalability, accuracy, and performance.
- Troubleshoot and tune datasets, including refresh optimization, relationship design, model size management, and DAX efficiency.
- Work within Power BI licensing and capacity constraints to ensure scalable and cost‑effective delivery.
- Contribute to enterprise data strategy and shared semantic layer ownership.
- 5+ years of experience as a Power BI Developer.
- 2+ years of advanced Power BI expertise, including:
- Advanced DAX development and troubleshooting
- Strong SQL skills (complex queries, joins, performance tuning).
- Familiarity with Dataverse (tables, relationships, security roles).
- Understanding of governance, security, and compliance principles.
- Strong analytical thinking, ownership, and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
