Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data solutions industry, is seeking a Sr Data Ops Engineer to join their team. As a Sr Data Ops Engineer, you will be part of the Data Engineering Department supporting the Cyber Security Data Ecosystem team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, collaborative mindset, and innovative thinking, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Iselin, NJ / Irving, TX / Columbus, OH / Charlotte, NC / Phoenix, AZ / Wilmington, DE / Tampa, FL - Hybrid
What's the Job?- Implement and operationalize modern AI-enabled data capabilities on Google Cloud to ingest, transform, and distribute data for various big data applications
- Leverage AI/Agentic frameworks to automate data management, governance, and data consumption capabilities such as data pipelines, data quality, metadata, and compliance
- Collaborate with principal engineers, product managers, and data engineers to roadmap, plan, and deliver key data capabilities based on organizational priorities
- Support migration from on-premises systems to cloud platforms, ensuring seamless transition and integration
- Develop and support data flows using Kafka, Flink, Spark streaming, and other modern data processing tools
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, including hands-on work with cloud data solutions such as Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Google Cloud Storage, Big Query, Data Proc, and Cloud Composer
- Demonstrable skills using AI tools like Lang Chain, Lang Graph/ADK, agentic frameworks, RAG, Graph
RAG, and MCP for building agent-based data capabilities - Deep understanding of cloud-based data lakes, warehouses, and automated data pipelines
- Experience with developing data flows and automations in a large data environment
- Relevant cloud certifications such as GCP Professional Data Engineer, Azure Data Engineer, or AWS Specialty Data Analytics are a plus
