Contract Duration: 12+ Months

What You Will Be Doing
  • Will be a servant-leader who can guide and coach our software development teams on Agile and Scrum principles and practices.
  • Will be responsible for ensuring the team lives by the values and practices of Scrum, removing impediments, and fostering an environment of continuous improvement, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives, ensuring they are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox.
  • Guide and coach the Scrum Team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers.
  • Act as a servant‑leader for the Scrum Team, helping to remove impediments and protect the team from outside interruptions and distractions.
  • Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency and radiating information.
  • Support the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
  • Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem‑solving.
  • Facilitate discussion, decision‑making, and conflict resolution.
  • Utilize Jira and other Agile project management tools to track team progress, manage backlogs, and provide key metrics and reports on team performance.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Scrum Master role for a software development team.
  • Valid Scrum Master certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM)).
  • Extensive, hands‑on knowledge and experience with Jira for Agile project management.
  • Expert‑level understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and various Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Proven experience in coaching teams on Agile principles and Scrum practices.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to effectively remove impediments.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Advanced Scrum certifications (e.g., A-CSM, PSM II).
  • Experience in a technical role (e.g., developer, QA) prior to becoming a Scrum Master.
  • Experience with other Agile tools like Confluence.
