Intern, Equipment Support Specialist

Job Summary

Darling Ingredients is seeking a proactive and solution‑oriented Support professional to strengthen our equipment/telemetry support model. This role is focused on shifting the team from a reactive, issue‑driven approach to one that emphasizes prevention, root‑cause resolution, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will help reduce backlog, shorten resolution times, improve onboarding throughput, and provide greater depth and coverage across the support organization.

• Perform over‑the‑phone Tier I equipment/telemetry troubleshooting to identify root cause failures.
• Resolve issues where possible or route clearly to the appropriate escalated team members.
• Review equipment/telemetry retrofit site survey tickets where installs were unsuccessful to identify recoverable install opportunities.
• Run and maintain weekly equipment/telemetry trend reports.
• Fulfilling tasks set out by supervisors.
• Understand the overall concept of the company, including the brand, customer, product goals, and all other aspects of service.
• Accept designated business‑focus projects to research, propose ideas and solutions.
• Attend meetings.
• All other duties assigned.

• Current college student or recent graduate.
• Eager to learn and work with various departments in the company.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to multitask.
• Professionalism.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

• Occasionally lift up to 10 lbs.
• Frequently required to sit for extended periods.
• Occasionally required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.

Job functions will be carried out in an office environment.
