The Intermediate System Specialist is responsible for assisting the Tandem & UNISYS administration activities, including network maintenance, technical guidance, and security in coordination with the Technology Infrastructure team. The overall objective is to apply infrastructure technology knowledge and policies to process and analyze data for risk and operational effectiveness.
Responsibilities- Assist in performing basic diagnostic work to recognize, track, report, and resolve problems, escalating when necessary. Assist in planning, scheduling, implementation, and post‑implementation; initiate appropriate actions to stay on schedule.
- Assist with various technological installs, upgrades, and tests.
- Assist in the development and implementation of technology infrastructure recovery plans and procedures.
- Gather, compile, and synthesize information regarding technology processes or systems and exchange information concisely and clearly.
- Use Citi's risk management and control methods to conduct periodic reviews of activities, ensuring compliance with risk objectives. Research and interpret factual information.
- Identify inconsistencies in data or results.
- Anticipate how actions and plans will affect stakeholders, catering to their needs and expectations. Provide insights from stakeholder relationships to anticipate needs and offer services beyond expectations. Actively seek information to understand stakeholder expectations, needs, and issues. Make recommendations based on experience and specialty area knowledge.
- Ensure processes and procedures are in place and work is accomplished efficiently.
- Assist in identifying reengineering improvements.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for Citi’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations. Apply sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and manage and report control issues with transparency.
- 2+ years of experience in a technology infrastructure role.
- Financial services experience preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with technology infrastructure tools.
- Demonstrated analytic and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work in virtual or in‑person teams and thrive under pressure or deadlines.
- Ability to develop projects required for design of metrics, analytical tools, benchmarking activities, and best practices.
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
Salary Range: $76,230.00 – $ (Full time). In addition to base salary, eligible employees may receive discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
