We are seeking an experienced Workday Integration Developer to join our internal IT team. This role is responsible for the end‑to‑end lifecycle of Workday integrations
, including design, development, deployment, and ongoing production support.

You will play a critical role in building new integrations and maintaining 100+ mission‑critical integrations that support core business operations across HR, Payroll, Finance, Procurement, and Banking systems. This position ensures secure, accurate, and reliable data flow between Workday and internal/external systems.

This is a highly cross‑functional role requiring close collaboration with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to deliver scalable and compliant integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities Integration Design & Development
  • Architect, design, and build Workday integrations using:
  • Workday Studio (complex integrations)
  • Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB)
  • Core Connectors
  • Workday REST/SOAP APIs
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Define data mappings, transformation logic (XML/XSLT), and error‑handling mechanisms
Implementation & Deployment
  • Configure, test, and deploy integrations across HCM and Financials modules
  • Oversee integration releases and ensure smooth production deployments
  • Ensure all integrations meet functional, technical, and performance requirements
Production Support & Operations
  • Provide daily support for inbound and outbound integrations
  • Monitor integration runs, logs, and alerts to proactively identify issues
  • Diagnoses and resolve integration failures quickly to minimize business impact
  • Maintain high availability of critical integrations, including payroll, banking, and vendor interfaces
Testing & Quality Assurance
  • Perform unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and regression testing
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and defect resolution
  • Ensure error‑free and reliable integration performance
Data Integrity, Security & Compliance
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all integrations
  • Adhere to enterprise security policies and data privacy standards
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner with internal teams including:
  • HR, Payroll, Accounting, Benefits, Procurement, and Banking/AP
  • Work with external vendors (banks, benefits providers, procurement systems)
  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and SMEs to gather requirements and deliver solutions
Documentation & Standards
  • Maintain detailed documentation for integration design, mappings, and support procedures
  • Follow established integration standards, development practices, and governance policies
  • Identify opportunities to optimize integration performance and reliability
  • Recommend enhancements to architecture, tools, and processes
  • Stay current with Workday releases and best practices
Required Qualifications Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Workday integration development
Technical Expertise
  • Strong experience with:
  • EIB, Core Connectors, Data Transformations
  • Advanced report and Calculated fields
  • Experience with Workday Web Services and APIs:
  • SOAP, REST, WSDL
  • Tools such as Postman or SoapUI
  • Strong skills in:
  • XML, XSLT, and data transformation
  • Integration debugging and troubleshooting
Workday Functional Knowledge
  • Deep understanding of:
  • Core HCM (hire, job change, termination)
  • Payroll and Benefits integrations
  • Financials (banking, procurement, punchout, cXML, AP/AR processes)
Agile & Delivery Experience
  • Experience working in Agile environments:
  • User stories, defects, and sprint cycles
  • Participation in daily standups and release cycles
Soft Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent communication (technical and business audiences)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • High attention to detail and ownership mindset
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with:
  • SQL (queries, stored procedures, data modeling)
  • Experience with Workday BIRT for document generation
  • Exposure to middleware tools (e.g., Mule Soft, Boomi)
  • Experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and UAT coordination
