Role Overview

Commerce media is one of the fastest‑growing segments in advertising, and Citi is bringing its powerful assets to launch a new media offering. With 70million+ cardholders, 6.5billion annual transactions, and visibility across 700+ merchant categories, Citi has the scale, trust, and data infrastructure to compete at the highest level. Where retailers see spending only within their own ecosystem, Citi sees actual purchase behavior across the full customer wallet, spanning categories, merchants, and channels.

That cross‑wallet visibility, combined with Citi’s direct relationships with tens of millions of engaged, digitally active customers, creates a compelling foundation for advertisers who want to reach high‑intent audiences and measure real outcomes.

We are building Citi’s Commerce Media business and are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Mar Tech Product Lead to drive and implement best‑in‑class marketing data platforms and tools. The product lead will inform, plan, and deliver on integrating Customer Data Platform (CDP), Live Ramp, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Google Ad Manager (GAM), and marketing data lake (MDL). The lead will partner closely with the Commerce Media agile team across AdTech, audience composition, ad delivery, and content management teams to scale onsite and off‑site advertising.

Responsibilities
  • Platform Ownership:
    Oversee Google Ad Manager, ensuring it meets business requirements, user needs, and performance expectations. Integrate data and content platform with Commerce Ad platforms (GAM, Live Ramp) to enable onsite and offsite marketing.
  • Strategic Vision:
    Develop and communicate a strategic roadmap for Commerce Media capabilities in alignment with organizational goals and evolving marketing strategies.
  • Tech Development:
    Steer the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of the platforms, including data ingestion, data processing and enablement of audience using Customer Data Platform (CDP).
  • People Management:
    Oversee a direct and indirect team responsible for defining and driving the Mar Tech strategy and transformation in support of growth initiatives.
  • Stakeholder

    Collaboration:

    Partner with stakeholders from marketing, IT, and product teams to understand and fulfill digital content and experience needs.
  • Project Management:
    Collaborate with project teams to prioritize, plan, and execute key platform initiatives, ensuring alignment with platform capabilities and compliance standards.
  • Optimization & Upgrades:
    Manage ongoing platform optimization, including regular upgrades, feature enhancements, and content performance tuning to achieve a high‑performing digital experience.
  • Vendor Management:
    Lead RFPs, evaluate/liaise with third‑party vendors and support teams to ensure the efficient operation of the platform.
  • Performance Monitoring:
    Implement and manage tools to monitor/optimize for platform performance.
  • User Support & Training:
    Provide guidance and training for content authors, designers, and developers to maintain consistent quality and usability standards across digital content.
  • Governance & Compliance:
    Enforce governance policies around usage and permissions to ensure security, data privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications
  • Experience:

    10+ years of experience in implementing and managing Mar Tech capabilities across data, offer, content and orchestration domains.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    Experience with marketing technology architecture, backend systems, data dependencies, and front‑end interfaces that are required to implement and execute digital marketing campaigns.
