Job Title: Senior PL/SQL Developer

Location: Irving, TX (Onsite preferred / Hybrid depending on client)

Position Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PL/SQL Developer with 8+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle PL/SQL development to join our team supporting a leading banking client in Irving, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and optimizing complex queries, procedures, packages, and database performance tuning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, triggers, and functions for enterprise banking applications.
• Optimize existing database code for performance and scalability.
• Work closely with data architects, business analysts, and application developers to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data and performance issues in production environments.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for all database development work.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL development.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle 11g/12c/19c, including SQL tuning and optimization.
• Experience with large data sets, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of banking/financial domain applications and processes.
• Familiarity with tools like Toad, SQL Developer, or similar.
• Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting is a plus.
• Exposure to ETL processes, data migration, or reporting tools is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in banking or financial services industry.
• Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies.
