Role Overview

An experienced Epic Payer Platform Lead who has personally configured or led the configuration of EPP capabilities in a production healthcare environment will oversee collaboration with the Accenture team, client team, software vendor team, and client in multiple areas such as Clinical Data Exchange, Coverage Finder, HPCS, Care Gap Exchange, Member Insights, or ADT Event Notifications. This role is located in Nashville, TN, Atlanta, GA, Columbus, OH, or Dallas, TX and requires on‑site presence three days per week.

Responsibilities
  • Experience with project plan creation and joint design sessions with the Epic Implementation Team:
    • Take end‑user information to create a detailed scope and obtain sign‑off from the Operations team, translating business requirements into Epic‑native configuration in real time.
    • Create a detailed Excel project plan and drive status calls and individual status updates to stay on top of deliverables.
  • Executive presence:
    • Portray competence and confidence to Operations and client resources.
    • Be concise and clear in escalations and status reporting.
  • Comfort with ambiguity:
    • Manage new complexities that arise during the project and figure out solutions.
    • Dig into areas to understand and address standard issues.
  • A strong “DRIVER” personality – drive status updates and understand the intricacies of required deliverables.
  • Assist with the analysis and design of new business workflows.
  • Identify and define detailed product requirements and use cases; assign resources to projects based on skill and mastery.
  • Provide input into high‑level functional specifications.
  • Participate in quality‑management reviews of design and performance of work products to ensure they fulfill the requirements.
  • Perform or advise on system configuration, integration setup, and assist with testing activities.
  • Serve as an intermediary with the client’s Epic team and Accenture tech leads to support bilateral understanding of data structures, workflows, technology capabilities and limitations.
  • Assist in the development and documentation of data requests and source‑to‑target mapping.
  • Other duties as assigned, which may include implementation, optimization, upgrades, and application support.
  • Qualifications and Experience
    • Minimum 8 years of experience in Healthcare IT in an EPP Payer Platform Analyst and leadership role.
    • Minimum 5 years of program or project‑management experience including reporting accountability for projects/programs to executive leadership and requirements gathering from clinical leadership.
    • Epic Non‑Clinical Certification required (HIM, Patient Access – Cadence or Grand Central, Revenue Cycle – Resolute HB, Resolute PB, etc.).
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years of work experience). If Associate degree, must have minimum 6 years of work experience.
    Required Certifications
    • Epic Tapestry certification in Claims, Earned & Event, Benefits Engine, CRM, or UM.
    • Resolute PB or HB experience.
    • ADT/Grand Central configuration experience.
    • Familiarity with Epic integration standards (FHIR R4, EDI X12, CDA/CCDA) applied to EPP data exchange.
    Additional Experience
    • Experience or certification in an Epic Payer credential is preferred.
    • Epic Tapestry, Epic Resolute HB, Epic Resolute PB or ADT certification/experience.
    • Experience leading multiple teams through separate iterations of projects.
    Bonus Points
    • Experience and/or certification in an Epic Payer credential.
