Job Title:

Security Operations Analyst

Pay: $100,000 - $110,000 annually, plus a 10% bonus

Location:

Irving, TX (Hybrid)

As a Security Operations Analyst, you will monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts, helping to maintain the integrity of a robust security infrastructure. Requirements
  • 2 to 3 years of experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst or in a similar security operations role
  • Proficiency with Entra  (formerly Azure AD), SIEM tools, and EDR/XDR platforms, especially Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Security & Compliance tools
  • Hands‑on experience with threat detection, incident response, and security policy management in Azure environments
  • Familiarity with security frameworks, triaging alerts, and conducting investigations using log searches and queries in Rapid7 or similar tools
  • Knowledge of network security, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and investigative skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred Qualifications
  • Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CC
  • Experience scripting or automating security tasks using Microsoft Graph or similar platforms
  • Background in ethical hacking or penetration testing is a plus
Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM and related monitoring tools
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents promptly, collaborating across teams
  • Maintain and enhance incident response procedures and documentation
  • Keep abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and mitigation strategies
  • Support compliance efforts and assist in audit preparations related to security controls
  • Collaborate in triaging alerts, performing light pen testing, and testing security protocols
  • Contribute to security improvements and automation initiatives
