Senior Category Manager, Technology Services
Location: Hybrid in Irving, TX or Alpharetta, GA (approximately 1 day per month onsite)
Employment Type: 12-month temporary assignment with potential to extend or convert
Pay: Up to $59.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
ROLE IMPACTThe Senior Category Manager, Technology Services is responsible for leading strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier negotiations for enterprise Technology Services and Professional Services. This role partners with business leaders, Legal, Finance, and Procurement to develop sourcing strategies, lead complex RFPs, negotiate commercial agreements, and optimize supplier performance. Success is measured by delivering strategic sourcing initiatives, reducing business risk, maximizing supplier value, and driving procurement excellence across technology service categories.
Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives for Technology Services, including RFPs, RFQs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract execution.
- Develop and execute category strategies that align with business objectives while identifying opportunities for cost optimization and supplier performance improvements.
- Negotiate complex commercial agreements, including pricing, Statements of Work (SOWs), service level agreements, rate cards, amendments, and managed services contracts.
- Partner closely with Legal, Finance, and business stakeholders to ensure sourcing activities comply with procurement policies, governance standards, and business objectives.
- Conduct market intelligence, supplier assessments, and spend analysis to support strategic sourcing decisions and executive recommendations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Experience leading strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract management, and category management within an enterprise procurement environment.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple sourcing projects simultaneously while balancing competing priorities and deadlines.

- At least 7 years of experience managing Technology Services, IT Services, Managed Services, Software, or Professional Services categories.
- Experience negotiating complex commercial agreements involving software, consulting services, managed services, SaaS, and enterprise technology suppliers.
- Proven ability to independently lead enterprise RFPs, develop category strategies, and build long-term supplier partnerships.
- Experience working within a large enterprise or highly regulated procurement environment.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and commercial acumen with the ability to influence strategic sourcing decisions.
