Roles and Responsibilities
- Define and design end-to-end compute architecture for on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Create High-Level Design (HLD) and guide Low-Level Design (LLD) for compute infrastructure solutions.
- Translate business and application requirements into scalable, resilient, and cost-effective technical designs.
- Architect cloud and hybrid compute platforms across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
- Lead cloud migration initiatives including lift & shift, re-platforming, and re-architecting strategies.
- Drive VMware to Kubernetes/Open Shift modernization and containerization initiatives.
- Design Kubernetes/Open Shift platforms including cluster sizing, scaling, and multi-region deployments.
- Define high availability, disaster recovery, failover, and self-healing infrastructure strategies.
- Lead automation and Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives using Terraform, Ansible, and standard templates.
- Perform capacity planning, workload optimization, and cloud cost optimization (Fin Ops).
- Ensure secure compute configurations, OS hardening, IAM integration, and compliance adherence.
- Strong expertise in compute architecture and infrastructure design.
- Hands‑on experience with:
- GCP cloud compute services
- Kubernetes / Open Shift architecture
- VMware virtualization platforms
- Rubrik backup solutions
- IBM Storage
- AIX systems
- Active Directory
- Strong knowledge of:
- Hybrid cloud architecture
- Cloud migration strategies
- HA/DR architecture
- Infrastructure automation and IaC
- Compute sizing and workload optimization
- Experience with VMware to Open Shift/Kubernetes migration programs.
- Strong understanding of security, scalability, resiliency, and performance optimization.
- Experience with AWS EC2, Azure VM/VMSS, and multi‑cloud environments.
- Exposure to microservices‑based platforms and container modernization.
- Experience with enterprise infrastructure governance and compliance.
- Strong stakeholder communication and technical leadership skills.
