- Guides the technical design and development of highly-complex, cross-functional, and multi-platform, application systems
- Defines and documents the designs for applications and enhancements
- Coordinates the definition of timetables and project tasks and estimates cost(s) and time
- Creates, reviews, and coordinates execution of unit test plans for multiple projects and identifies opportunities to improve testing process(es)
- Oversees the design, coding, testing, implementation, and documentation of solution(s)
- Develops high-level program specifications and ensures that expected application performance levels are achieved
- Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, maintains, and modifies computer programs of high complexity, significance, and risk
- Guides technical staff and clients to investigate, analyze, and resolve highly-complex, technical problems
- Identifies and facilitates interfaces, service levels, standards, and configurations
- Analyzes, defines, and documents design for data, workflow, logical processes, and operating system environment and interfaces with other systems, internal and external
- Oversees monitoring of existing application systems operating efficiency
- Identifies opportunities for improvement and recommends technical solutions
- Demonstrates deep understanding of the business needs driving projects
- Becomes main point of contact for business lines as needed
Location expectations This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- At least 10 years of experience with developing and implementing applications
- Extensive experience in:
- Product and vendor evaluation
- System testing
- Information testing
- Subject matter expertise in:
- System development life cycle
- Change control
- Programming
- IT standards, procedures, policy
- Application design, architecture
- Application testing
- Implementation
- Application maintenance
- Release management
- Application development tools
- Modeling: data, process, events, objects
