• Guides the technical design and development of highly-complex, cross-functional, and multi-platform, application systems
• Defines and documents the designs for applications and enhancements
• Coordinates the definition of timetables and project tasks and estimates cost(s) and time
• Creates, reviews, and coordinates execution of unit test plans for multiple projects and identifies opportunities to improve testing process(es)
• Oversees the design, coding, testing, implementation, and documentation of solution(s)
• Develops high-level program specifications and ensures that expected application performance levels are achieved
• Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, maintains, and modifies computer programs of high complexity, significance, and risk
• Guides technical staff and clients to investigate, analyze, and resolve highly-complex, technical problems
• Identifies and facilitates interfaces, service levels, standards, and configurations
• Analyzes, defines, and documents design for data, workflow, logical processes, and operating system environment and interfaces with other systems, internal and external
• Oversees monitoring of existing application systems operating efficiency
• Identifies opportunities for improvement and recommends technical solutions
• Demonstrates deep understanding of the business needs driving projects
• Becomes main point of contact for business lines as needed

Location expectations This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
• At least 10 years of experience with developing and implementing applications

  • Product and vendor evaluation

  • Information testing
• Subject matter expertise in:
  • System development life cycle
  • Change control
  • Programming
  • IT standards, procedures, policy
  • Application design, architecture
  • Application testing
