Industry: Hospitals and Health Care

Our client is seeking an Information Services Lead to provide technical leadership, application oversight, and operational excellence across healthcare information systems.

Are you an experienced healthcare IT professional with strong application expertise, leadership capabilities, and a passion for driving system optimization? This role offers the opportunity to lead complex initiatives, mentor team members, and serve as the key liaison between clinical, operational, and technology stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the senior technical lead for assigned applications and focus areas.
  • Provide oversight for Incident, Problem, Request, and Change Management processes.
  • Lead application build, configuration, testing, implementation, go-live support, and optimization activities.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex application and operational issues.
Healthcare Systems & Workflow Expertise
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of clinical and business workflows, healthcare operations, and application functionality.
  • Analyze, design, configure, and optimize applications to meet organizational goals.
  • Identify process improvements and technology enhancements that increase operational efficiency and user satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with business owners and clinical stakeholders to ensure solutions align with operational requirements.
  • Lead large-scale, enterprise-wide application and technology initiatives.
  • Conduct requirements gathering, process mapping, stakeholder analysis, and solution design activities.
  • Develop project plans, status reports, risk assessments, and executive-level communications.
  • Manage project dependencies, timelines, milestones, and escalations.
  • Mentor analysts and team members while fostering professional development.
  • Coordinate workload distribution and resource planning across teams.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing, cross-training, and continuous learning initiatives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor across departments.
Stakeholder & Executive Engagement
  • Build strong relationships with clinical leaders, operational stakeholders, executives, and end users.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business units and Information Services teams.
  • Communicate project status, risks, solutions, and strategic recommendations to leadership.
  • Lead governance meetings, work groups, and cross-functional collaboration efforts.
Epic & Healthcare Technology Management
  • Maintain expertise in Epic systems, releases, upgrades, and best practices.
  • Review Epic documentation, release notes, and user resources to identify enhancement opportunities.
  • Coordinate application readiness for vendor updates, upgrades, and enterprise changes.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare and organizational standards.
  • Drive process standardization and operational excellence within supported applications.
  • Develop and maintain technical, operational, and user documentation.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend opportunities for innovation.
  • Support organizational change management and adoption initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in:
  • Information Systems
  • Business
  • Related field
  • 5–7 years of experience supporting healthcare, business, or information systems.
  • Strong project management and leadership experience.
  • Proven ability to independently lead projects and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare operations and technology environments.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • 2+ years of project management experience.
  • Experience supporting Epic or enterprise healthcare applications.
  • Experience leading large-scale healthcare technology implementations.
  • Relevant healthcare, Epic, or technology certifications.
