Service Now Certificate Management Engineer
We are not accepting C2C or 1099 arrangements.
Location: Irving, TX (Las Colinas), Charlotte, NC (Brevard), or Chandler, AZ
Duration: 9-Month Contract
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Service Now Certificate Management Engineer to lead the implementation and optimization of certificate lifecycle management capabilities within the Service Now platform. This role will be responsible for designing, configuring, and enhancing Service Now Certificate Management solutions to improve visibility, compliance, automation, and operational efficiency across the enterprise.
The ideal candidate combines strong Service Now development expertise with hands-on experience in certificate discovery, CMDB integrations, and platform customization.
What You'll Do
- Implement and configure the Service Now Certificate Management solution across enterprise environments.
- Install, upgrade, and maintain required Service Now plugins and supporting components.
- Configure and optimize the Service Now Certificate Management module to support business and operational requirements.
- Enable, configure, and manage certificate discovery processes across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Design and implement integrations between Service Now and external certificate authorities, discovery tools, and enterprise systems.
- Configure and maintain CMDB Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE) rules to ensure accurate asset and certificate data management.
- Develop custom Service Now solutions, workflows, business rules, and automation to support certificate lifecycle management.
- Partner with infrastructure, security, and platform teams to drive adoption of certificate management best practices.
- Troubleshoot platform issues, optimize performance, and ensure data integrity across Service Now environments.
- Document configurations, processes, and technical solutions to support ongoing operations and future enhancements.
- Hands-on experience implementing and configuring Service Now Certificate Management.
- Strong knowledge of the Service Now platform, including administration, configuration, and development.
- Experience with certificate discovery, lifecycle management, and related security processes.
- Expertise in CMDB architecture, data modeling, and IRE configuration.
- Experience developing custom Service Now applications, workflows, integrations, and automation.
- Strong understanding of REST/SOAP APIs and integration patterns.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD).
- Experience with ITOM, Discovery, CMDB, and Security Operations modules.
- Knowledge of enterprise PKI and certificate management best practices.
