Release Train Engineer (RTE)
Our client, an IT services and consultant company, is looking for a Release Train Engineer (RTE) for their Irving, TX (onsite) location.
Responsibilities- Planning at scale
- Prepare and facilitate BRP and I&A planning events.
- Coordinate post-BRP activities and communicate outcomes.
- Lead monthly and product-specific planning sessions.
- Foster collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
- Drive execution
- Lead Agile rhythms, routines, and scaling events.
- Track and manage progress against committed objectives.
- Promote continuous delivery, technical excellence, AI tool adoption, DORA metrics, and technology initiatives.
- Advance Dev Ops maturity and continuous delivery practices.
- Manage cross-team dependencies, risks, and impediments.
- Facilitate additional execution and collaboration practices to improve delivery maturity
- Flow optimization
- Manage the end-to-end feature backlog.
- Monitor and optimize product metrics to improve value delivery and flow
- Relentless improvement
- Drive continuous improvement across processes, tools, metrics, and delivery practices.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for workstream implementation initiatives.
- Sustained coaching
- Coach teams on Agile transformation, SDLC, annual planning, time tracking, ECM, TCM, and organizational standards.
- Guide teams on roles and responsibilities aligned with the Product Operating Model (POM), Agile Playbook, EFT, ERFT, and RDL guidelines.
- Success metrics
- Develop and leverage dashboards to improve execution predictability and adherence to governance standards.
- Track key delivery metrics including objective predictability, CI/CO achievement, roadmap delivery, and overall execution performance.
- Proven experience as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) in large-scale Agile environments.
- Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks, Dev Ops, SDLC, and continuous delivery practices.
- Experience facilitating enterprise planning events and managing cross-functional dependencies.
- Strong coaching, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Ability to use metrics and dashboards to drive performance, predictability, and continuous improvement
