Role:
Web Logic and Web Sphere Admin L3 Support Unix Knowledge

Location:
Irving, Tx (Hybrid)

• Skill Web Logic WAS Admin IHS Tomcat
• Responsible for the stability of the environment and resolution of Level 3 issues
• Design develop and support scalable reusable solutions
• Interact with multiple partners developing and enforcing standards
• Provide Performance tuning and Architecture inputs and best practices in design and development
• EOVS and Vulnerability Assessment resolutions
• Capacity management
• Linux Server OS VTM patching coordination
• Provide support for COB Test
• L3 on call Weekend Support

• 6 - 8 years of relevant experience in Middleware Web Technologies like Web Logic Web Sphere and tomcat
• Role needs a highL3 level of skill on Web Sphere Application Server and IBM HTTP Server on Unix
• Experience in AHS and Tomcat Application Servers
• Experience in AHSTomcat over Open Shift ECS Dockers
• Experience with Web Sphere Application server administration in large organizations with large volumes
• Experienced in python and ansible scripting automation
• Excellent debugging and problem solving skills
• Experience with performance tuning with Java background
• Verbal and Written communication skills primarily the ability to communicate ideas standards and technical details to the development partners
• Experience with continuous integration and iterative development methodology is required
• Experience on Unix operating system
• Ability to understand business drivers and balance business needs timelines costs and best practices
• Good Analytical skills
• Experience with Banking and Cash management applications and process would be advantageous
• Strong interpersonal skill

• Expert support experience with Web Logic Web Sphere Application Server and Java J2EE applications across multiple Pre Prod environments
• Manage and Configure web servers Understand the functions of Web Sphere Plugin and various constructs in its configuration
• Expert level defining and modifying Web Sphere configuration such as data sources listener ports transports Name Space Bindings Web Sphere Plugin Java2 Connection artifacts as per testing requirements
• Understand and apply best practices for Install Update Migration of Web Sphere Application Server product
• Perform all administrative operations using the administrative console
• Develop Web Sphere scripts in python Perform configuration and operational tasks with ws-admin tool Develop utilities per requirement
• Understanding of how SSL works Certificate Management Configure SSL between various components
• Describe the methodology of problem determination Articulate and Apply procedures for troubleshooting problems related to SSL Certificates JVM Request flow Resource connectivity JNDI Class loading Garbage Collection etc Gather and Diagnose various logs dumps
• Address performance issues to fine tune Web Sphere configuration for JVM thread pools connection pools etc
• Familiar with Linux shell…
