Position Summary:

Reporting to the VP of IT, the QAD and Ignition ERP Developer will support, maintain, and enhance QAD ERP, QAD Automation Solutions, Ignition, and related business applications. This position is onsite and will work closely with business users across manufacturing, quality, receiving, shipping, finance, procurement, logistics, and IT.

The role will help troubleshoot existing issues, document legacy customizations, reduce vendor dependency, support system upgrades, and deliver practical improvements that help the business operate more efficiently.

Desired Professional

Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
  • At least three years of hands-on QAD ERP support and development experience.
  • Experience with QAD Automation Solutions, including labels, reports, utilities, transactions, AUX extensions, or system administration.
  • Experience troubleshooting manufacturing, warehouse, barcode scanning, label printing, and ERP transaction issues.
  • Ignition development or support experience, including maintaining existing applications and supporting version upgrades.
  • Relational database and SQL experience for troubleshooting, reporting, KPIs, metrics, and data validation.
  • Experience reviewing legacy customizations and documenting current-state application behavior.
  • Familiarity with Azure Dev Ops, Git, or similar source control and work tracking tools.
  • Ability to work with internal teams and external vendors, including QAD and other application support partners.
  • Experience working with onsite and offshore teams.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision, relying on experience, research, and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals.
  • Strong complex problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and manage time effectively.
  • Proven written and oral communication skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Support QAD ERP, QAD AS, LPS, EQMS, TMS, PE, 32

    Soft, File Maker, Ignition, RGA, AdaptOE data replication, and related integrations as needed.
  • Troubleshoot QAD issues, including bugs, customizations, barcode and label printing issues, transactions, reports, utilities, and business process exceptions.
  • Maintain and improve QAD AS programs, labels, reports, utilities, AUX extensions, and business workflows.
  • Review existing QAD customizations and document how they work across development, test, and production environments.
  • Support Ignition applications, including existing production source inside Ignition and planned upgrade activity.
  • Help move application source/code documentation into Azure Dev Ops or other approved repositories where applicable.
  • Work with operations, quality, receiving, production, shipping, finance, procurement, logistics, and IT users to gather requirements and deliver practical system improvements.
  • Support reporting, KPIs, AdaptOE data replication outputs, and business visibility improvements.
  • Coordinate with QAD, Adaptivity, 32

    Soft, HBS, Bastian/Toyota Automated Logistics, and other vendors when escalation or proprietary system support is needed.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, support guides, training materials, and current-state system references.
  • Participate in ticket reviews and help prioritize work based on business impact.
  • Follow established coding standards and change-management practices.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
  • Three years or more of hands-on QAD ERP, business systems, or manufacturing application support/development experience.
  • QAD EE 2019, QAD AS, EQMS, Ignition 8.x, Azure Dev Ops, and manufacturing systems experience preferred.
