Scrum Master II

• Guide and coach Scrum teams in applying Agile values, principles, and the Scrum framework
• Protect development teams from outside influences and remove impediments
• Build a trusting and safe environment for raising problems and solving them collaboratively
• Facilitate work without coercion, assigning, or dictating tasks
• Improve internal and external communication, transparency, and information sharing
• Support and educate the Product Owner on refining and ordering the product backlog
• Ensure the product backlog is visible and prioritized according to business value
• Facilitate Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives
• Empower teams to become self-organized and accountable
• Support Release Train Engineers, IT Leads, and business leaders by facilitating SAFe ceremonies
• Provide coaching and training to Agile teams on executing the Scrum framework

• Scrum Master Certification (CSM or PSM) or PMI-ACP required
• 2–4 years of experience as a Scrum Master required
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Experience with AI-assisted software development or automation preferred
• Knowledge of prompting techniques to improve output quality preferred
• Awareness of emerging GenAI capabilities and limitations preferred
• Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks, including Scrum, from multiple teams/products
• Servant leadership mindset
• Proficiency with Agile delivery tools such as TFS, Jira, or Azure Dev Ops
• Ability to teach and train on Agile, Scrum, and Kanban
• Understanding of product and sprint backlog tracking, burndown metrics, and velocity
• Negotiation, leadership, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
• High emotional intelligence
• Ability to understand GM Financial's business and apply critical thinking
• Ability to facilitate, coach, and guide through influence and collaboration
• Ability to coach and train Agile teams before, during, and after PI Planning
• Ability to establish DoR and DoD at Story and Feature level
• Ability to facilitate SAFe ceremonies, including PI Planning, SOS, PO sync, and inspect and adapt

Demonstrates expertise in Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, with a focus on coaching teams to enhance collaboration and self-organization. Proficient in facilitating Agile ceremonies and supporting product backlog management to drive business value.
