Our client, the largest Third Party Administrator in North America, is seeking an experienced Claims Examiner to independently manage Texas Workers’ Compensation indemnity claims from inception through resolution. This role requires strong technical claims knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a customer‑focused mindset. The position involves frequent interaction with employers, injured workers, medical providers, and internal stakeholders. Although a Hybrid working option is available for the right candidate, consistent, timely in‑office attendance is an essential function of this role.
Whatyou will be doing:
- Manage the full lifecycle of loss‑time Texas Workers’ Compensation claims
- Investigate claims to determine compensability and coverage
- Evaluate exposure, establish reserves, and authorize benefit payments within assigned authority
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of benefits in compliance with statutory requirements
- Prepare clear, formal, captioned claim reports in accordance with client and internal standards
- Communicate professionally with claimants, employers, attorneys, and medical providers
- Assist employers and injured employees in understanding the Workers’ Compensation process
- Maintain a strong sense of urgency while balancing accuracy and compliance
- Deliver high‑quality customer service with a positive, solution‑oriented attitude
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, fellow examiners, and internal support teams
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)
- 3‑5+ years of Workers’ Compensation claims experience, preferably handling Texas indemnity claims
- Current Texas Workers’ Compensation Adjuster License (required)
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage a high‑volume caseload independently
- Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
- Detail‑oriented with sound judgment and decision‑making capabilities
- “Can‑do” attitude and team‑focused mindset
