Claims Paralegal​/Contracts & Claims Specialist

A growing and highly successful infrastructure services company is seeking a Claims Paralegal / Contracts & Claims Specialist to join its in-house team. This is a unique opportunity to step into a role that blends claims management, contract administration, insurance compliance, and legal support.

• Manage and track incoming claims from third parties
• Investigate claims involving property damage, utility strikes, vehicle incidents, and other operational matters
• Gather documentation, review contracts, and determine potential liability exposure
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and insurance providers
• Monitor subcontractor compliance requirements
• Review Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and endorsements
• Track insurance expiration dates and ensure ongoing compliance
• Verify insurance coverage requirements outlined in contracts
• Identify discrepancies, missing coverage, or fraudulent/inaccurate certificates
• Maintain organized claim and contract records
• Assist with additional legal, contractual, and risk-management projects as the department grows

• Paralegal, claims, contracts, insurance, risk management, or related experience
• Strong investigative and analytical skills
• Experience reviewing contracts and insurance documents is highly desirable
• Ability to read and interpret Certificates of Insurance and endorsements
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
• Comfortable working with vendors, subcontractors, and multiple internal departments
• Self-starter with a proactive, "figure it out" mindset
• Strong communication and follow-up skills
• Construction, utility, pipeline, infrastructure, transportation, or blue-collar industry experience is a plus
