Product Demonstration & Technical Training

Role

Summary:

In this role, the specialist takes on a more customer-facing responsibility, demonstrating equipment capabilities, delivering end-user training, and supporting both technical service and sales initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform all duties of Level I with a higher degree of autonomy.
  • Conduct live product demonstrations in the demo room, at trade shows, and via webinars.
  • Provide data for the tracking of local customer demos and sample requests.
  • Provide basic technical training to customers on hardware operation and routine maintenance.
  • Develop intermediate-level applications (e.g., multi-layered prints, specialty substrates, basic dye-sublimation).
  • Troubleshooting basic output issues and optimizing print settings for specific jobs.
  • Create standard operating procedures (SOPs) for common print tasks.
  • Through product knowledge across all segments
Requirements:
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Experience with wide-format RIP software (Raster Link, Onyx, Caldera, Flexi, etc.).
  • Expected Travel up to 20%
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Associates Degree and/or five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in production, printing, and/or signage industry with large format printers and flatbed cutters.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills
  • Proficient on Company-provided hardware and software.
  • Proficient in Adobe Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat.
  • Preferred experience with Raster Link, Flexi, Onyx or similar RIP software.
