What Will You Own?
Procurement execution for direct materials and services: review requisitions, assess supplier bids, and issue purchase orders.
MRP-driven buying: convert system signals into timely, accurate actions.
Support for NPIs and sustaining products, including coordinating last-time buys for EOL parts.
Service levels and cost: ensure on-time delivery, manage inventory levels, and monitor purchase price variance.
Forecast fidelity: analyze forecast accuracy and provide clear reporting and recommendations.
Cost data stewardship: maintain and update standard costs for assigned components.
Sourcing and quoting activities that improve continuity of supply and reduce costs.
Issue resolution: tackle shortages, allocations, and discrepancies; conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
Supplier performance management: lead regular reviews and implement improvement plans.
Results tracking: own KPIs such as OTD, PO acknowledgments, and past due shipments.
Audit readiness: support ISO and internal audits and close findings promptly.
Continuous improvement: strengthen data integrity and optimize planning parameters.
How Will You Collaborate?
You’ll be the communication hub among internal teams, suppliers, and customers—aligning expectations and timelines from pre-production through full-scale manufacturing.
What Do You Need to Succeed?4–7 years in direct material buying, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
Proficiency with MRP and SAP.Advanced analysis using Excel or Google Sheets.
Solid understanding of procurement, inventory, and supplier management.
Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Detail focus, accuracy, and problem-solving orientation.
Familiarity with supply chain policies, procedures, and ISO standards.
Bonus Points Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).Experience in electronic manufacturing.
