Job Description

Loenbrois seeking a Purchasing Agent to play a crucial role in our procurement process. The Purchasing Agent willbe responsible for sourcing andprocuringmaterials and equipment essential for our electrical projects, ensuring that wemaintaincost-effective and efficient supply chains while adhering to quality standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual with strong negotiation skills and an understanding of electrical materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vendor Selection:

    Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms and conditions, andestablishrelationships with vendors to ensure reliable and cost-effective sources of materials and equipment.
  • Purchasing:
    Place orders for electrical materials, equipment, and supplies in a timely mannerto meet project requirements whileoptimizingcost efficiency.
  • Inventory Management:
    Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, track usage, and replenish stock as needed to prevent shortages and reduce excess inventory.
  • Cost Control:

    Monitor and analyze pricing trends, negotiate favorable terms, and implement cost-saving strategies to maximize profitability and reduce expenses.
  • Quality Assurance:
    Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure thatpurchasedmaterials and equipment meet the required standards and specifications.
  • Documentation:

    Maintain detailed records of all procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and vendor contracts.
  • Communication:
    Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to understand project requirements and coordinate procurement efforts accordingly.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred; or a minimum of ten years ofpurchasingexperience in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar procurement role within the electrical or construction industries.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
