Under the direction of the Director
- Supply Chain, the Operations Planning Analyst will provide strong problem-solving skills, process improvement, and analytical support to the Supply Chain department. This position will be responsible for: inventory flow forecasting through supply chain, maintenance of analytical tools and models, supporting supply chain processes, analytical support for company initiatives, and strategic supply chain cost modeling.
- Assist with DC Forecasting and Planning (Weekly, Monthly, Yearly)
- Develop DC flow and inventory forecasting models that utilize available information from merchandise planning systems.
- Provide DC management with information needed to plan for space and labor requirements.
- Support monthly and yearly budgeting process with flow and inventory projections.
- Timely and accurate reporting and analysis.
- Reporting and Analysis Tools
- Support and Development - Design, development, and maintenance of analytical models and productivity tools to support business process efficiency.
- Prepare reports showing actual performance against departmental goals and objectives and do necessary research to explain variances.
- Utilize expertise in Excel, Alteryx, Google Big Query and other tools to facilitate department reporting requirements.
- Supply Chain – Process Improvement
- Identify and manage Supply Chain opportunities through analysis, study, and project design.
- Work with cross-functional teams to enable more efficient flow of product through the Supply Chain.
- Support projects by providing data, Supply Chain modeling, and analytical expertise.
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Degree
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (i.e. macro’s, modeling, data management)
- Advanced proficiency in Alteryx and Google Big Query
- 2-5 years of industry experience
- Minimum 2 years experience in an analyst role working with Excel
- Outstanding process management and data handling skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Logistics or Finance
- Merchandise planning systems, forecasting methods, VBA, Micro strategy, ODBC, SQL, Tableau, any supply chain modeling tools
- Supply chain and finance experience
- Retail and forecasting knowledge and experience
- General knowledge of inventory forecasting, inventory management, project management, total supply chain costs, finance, and logistics
