Utility Technician, Building Maintenance
Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system.
- Perform minor repairs on and troubleshoot motors, pumps, valves and remote telemetry units (RTUs).
- Calibrate chlorine and ammonia analyzers.
- Assist with dispatching as needed.
- Describe and perform tasks requiring descent into vaults as part of duties.
- High school diploma or GED, plus some college or specialized training, and six months experience in water production/distribution.
- TCEQ Class C Water Distribution license.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Valid Class C Texas driver’s license.
- Ability to work day, evening or night shifts; hours may vary. Must be available for emergency call-outs after normal hours.
PAY GRADE GG16 / FULL PAY RANGE $23.88 - $33.68 PER HOUR
