LocationThe Palmer at Las Colinas - Irving, TX
Hours9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday or as scheduled by the Regional VP; some nights and weekend work required.

- 1‑3 years maintenance experience (apartment maintenance experience preferred).
- Troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Budget or basic business finance helpful.
- Refrigeration certification (type 2 or universal) or obtain in the first 90 days of employment.
- Valid driver's license (free from major moving violations) and dependable transportation.
- Must be able to use various hand tools and test equipment.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods.
- Must be able to push and pull up to 300 pounds on wheels.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to climb ladders up to 40 feet.
- Must be able to use a hand‑truck.
- Assist in all maintenance requests, preventative maintenance, and amenity area maintenance for the apartment community.
- Complete maintenance work orders for residents (service appliances, plumbing, HVAC systems, minor electrical, gate systems, pool operations, etc.).
- Respond to and resolve emergency maintenance requests after business hours (weeknights, weekends, and holidays).
- Prepare vacant apartments to make rent ready.
- Perform preventative maintenance work.
- Keep the maintenance shop clean and organized; maintain adequate stock and inventory of parts for equipment, appliances, etc.
- Interact directly with residents.
- Maintain logbooks and databases; enter service requests and status updates into database.
- Assist in monitoring contractor work performance.
- Support the Service Manager in meeting budget responsibilities.
- Follow and promote company policies and procedures.
- Make customer service a priority.
- If the property does not have a housekeeper, perform light cleaning duties such as cleaning models, clubhouses, leasing office, emptying trash, cleaning grounds and amenity areas, etc.
- Maintain all amenity areas (pool, compactors, weight rooms, parking decks, etc.) in clean, orderly, and working condition.
- Wear a complete clean and neat uniform when working on any PAC Property, including nights and weekends, if applicable. Personal appearance must be clean and neat at all times, according to PAC policy.
- Communicate with residents and prospects in a manner consistent with PAC's standards.
- Read and/or listen to resident requests/complaints.
- Receive resident complaints in a calm, open, and professional manner.
- Solve problems quickly, usually within 24 hours, or contact supervisor for immediate assistance.
- Deliver newsletters, correspondence, etc. to residents' apartments.
- Coordinate, set up, attend, and clean up after resident functions (food, tables, display areas, etc.) as requested by the General Manager.
Physical Requirements
- MOVE appliances from one apartment unit to another using a hand truck up one to three flights of steps; appliances may weigh 75 to well over 300 pounds.
- Move commercial laundry machines and dryers (120–300 pounds) for repair and preventive maintenance.
- Move or transport building materials weighing several pounds to over 300 pounds for structure repairs.
