Siemens Logistics LLC is seeking experienced mechanical and controls technicians to support the team located in Austin, Texas, to fill Maintenance Technician Level III roles. This position requires experience and knowledge in the responsibilities as outlined.
ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and testing of the Baggage Handling System and its components, providing accurate and timely written reports of safety, operational, and maintenance activities. Interpret data and suggest maintenance schedule or activity adjustments to the Manager. Update daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance activity schedules and order/maintain spare parts stock necessary for proper servicing of the BHS. Ensure all preventive and predictive maintenance practices and procedures are scheduled and followed.
Physical RequirementsLifting (50 to 100 pounds), bending, reaching, climbing, walking, crawling, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, speaking, sight, and/or hearing to complete job duties.
Required Skills / Education- Experience:
Five+ years - Education:
HS Diploma or GED or equivalent experience required - Electro‑Electronics / Mechanical skills required
- Excellent customer relations skills
- Adherence to safety regulations and safe work practices
- Mechanical troubleshooting skills (e.g., belts, bearings, pulleys, drives, gear motors)
- Industrial electrical troubleshooting skills (480V three-phase motor and control circuits, electrical schematic printing, variable frequency drives, motor starters, input/output systems)
- Working knowledge of PLC systems preferred
- Familiarity with high‑level control systems, SCADA systems, network architecture (servers, ethernet, fiber optic, switches, workstations, barcode scanners)
- Maintenance management software skills (preventive/corrective maintenance, scheduling, inventory tracking)
- Basic management and supervisory skills (organization, communication, scheduling, computers)
- Valid driver’s license with clean MVR
- Ability to pass all background checks and security screenings per airport requirements
- Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States
- Benefits start on day one. Starting pay rate is $36.00. Actual wage may vary based on budget and candidate experience.
