The Area Maintenance Manager will lead a team of facilities associates and ensure a safe working environment for all.
Responsibilities- Dedicated to supporting multi-site production by working in a safe, customer-focused manner; and must be highly self-motivated and customer-centric
- Develop and design solutions to difficult problems, manage outside contractors and be on call for emergencies
- Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs and positive working relationships with operations
- Handle multiple projects and daily activities, meet deadlines and develop plans on how to accomplish departmental and distribution goals
- Ensuring that all safety programs and procedures are followed, develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs and good working relationships with operations
- Develop business plans and provide guidance and direction for the successful implementation of those plans
- Help to develop, set and track budgets
- Understand and implement safety programs
- Provide enriched feedback to enhance individual performance, provide associates with written performance appraisals including discipline and up to termination
- Mentor all facilities associates by motivating and providing direction to help them achieve their goals
- Project planning and cost analysis
- The Area Maintenance Manager promotes and conducts good housekeeping
- Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years of Amazon experience
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or other related discipline
- Travel up to 25% of the time
- Experience in a leadership role
- Experience in project management
- 2+ years of electrical and electronic principles experience
- Experience with Blueprint and electrical schematic reading
- Master's degree, or 9+ years of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience
- Experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
- Experience with preventive maintenance procedures, industrial electrical, industrial controls, and industrial electronics & robotics
- Experience leading controls in manufacturing or complex industrial environments

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
