Job Summary
The Area General Manager is responsible for ensuring profitable growth, exceptional service, people development, productivity, and the implementation of management systems and training throughout their assigned region, while ensuring quality and compliance. The Area General Manager will work through direct reports (Field Service Manager, Field Service Engineers, and Sales Managers) to develop and manage performance plans to achieve the strategic objectives.
This role requires a unique ability to set the divisional vision and strategy and communicate effectively with external and internal stakeholders, including senior management. This role is a senior level management position within the company and is assigned to a specific geography. The position consistently represents the company’s goals and objectives and positively promotes the brand.
- Establishes budgets, monitors expenses, and ensures profitability of their assigned territory.
- Manages the P&L and accounts for all variances from budget to actual.
- Manage region(s) to achieve profitability and growth goals
- Coordinates with other departments within the company to ensure effective operations
- Manages the day-to-day operations of the business, including human capital and financial performance.
- Hire, train and retain top quality employees within the division.
- Manage employee turnover to exceed target of less than 28% per year.
- Responsible for service delivery in their respected geography.
- Partner with the sales teams and the implementation team to ensure a smooth hand-off from sales to operations.
- Lead their respective service teams to ensure that all services and financial objectives are met.
- Create an environment that leads to customer and employee satisfaction.
- Positively drive both product performance and FSE service quality metrics.
- Accountable for all installation activity within the region.
- Responsible to deliver best in class service.
- Proactively approach communication with others to minimize problems; address problems as they arise; listen to others for their points of view; take others’ perspectives into consideration; demonstrate conviction of purpose without being offensive.
- Work closely with the SVP of Service on corporate-wide projects and initiatives to further the NHA business model and operational success
- Establish excellent relationships with bank staff and all vendors.
- Accountable for inventory levels.
- Complete all assigned projects in a timely manner.
- Ensure management oversight of the business is maintained 24/7.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Organize work force for optimal efficiencies while delivering to customer’s contractual agreement.
