Operations Manager
This position is responsible for managing daily activities and participating on an internal team of employees to perform project management for major and minor projects. Duties include construction documentation; technical correspondence; project communications; pay estimate reviews; coordination of city services related to construction; and providing detailed daily record keeping for capital improvements. Additional duties include managing consultants and contractors related to capital improvement projects;
reviewing and approving pay requests from consultants and contractors; participating in team review of new construction and rehabilitation projects to ensure the best quality and functionality for proposed improvements; assisting in preparation of construction estimates and budget to ensure adequate funding for capital projects; and providing technical assistance to architects, planners, engineers, and staff.
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with five years of experience as a project manager, or any combination of related education or experience that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job. Project Management Construction Professional (PMI-CP), Project Management Professional (PMP) or ability to acquire within 1 year of hire preferred. A résumé must be submitted with application.
PAY GRADE GG26 / FULL PAY RANGE $6,843 - $9,647 PER MONTH
