The Global Building Energy & Utilities Manager, Vice President is a senior-level professional responsible for leading compliance and audit operations, in coordination with the Corporate Services function. The overall objective is to analyze existing processes, identify opportunities for improvement and propose strategies to efficiently implement projects. This role has full leadership responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Manage compliance and audit issues for office, including Risk & Controlled Self-Assessment, (RCSA) monthly process
- Partner with all levels of the organization, local and national, to get buy in and/ or implementation
- Manage CACS and Autopro changes monthly changes to individual employees caused by team, or job changes
- Manage the Move, Add, or Change (MAC) process and work with different levels of the business to ensure this process is handled on time and accurately
- Produce and maintain daily reports for the business
- Conduct resource planning, budgeting and policy formulation as required
- Conduct people management tasks including performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations and may include budget approval
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
- 6-10 years of experience in finance industry preferred
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- High proficiency in Excel, Access, Visio, Power point and data warehouse reporting
- Analytical and process review / design skills
- Ability to self-direct workday and projects
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Ability to interact well with all levels of employees
- Bachelor’s degree/ University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
- Develop, champion, and execute a long-term global utility strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's overall sustainability strategy, Net Zero targets, and financial objectives.
- Proactively identify and assess emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory changes in the energy and utilities landscape, and integrate these into the strategy.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive energy and utilities baseline across the global portfolio, setting realistic, measurable, and ambitious targets for reduction in consumption, cost, and environmental impact.
- Provide regular and as-needed overviews of the global utility strategy, progress, risks, and opportunities to RES stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Strategically review and optimize the company's portfolio of green instruments.
- In partnership with Procurement and Asset Management teams, provide strategic leadership on the sourcing and procurement of energy and utilities across the global portfolio, ensuring the most favorable pricing, terms and conditions.
- Provide expert oversight and guidance to the Procurement team throughout the RFP process for energy supply, renewable energy procurement, and energy advisory services, from initial scoping to contract negotiation and execution.
- Engage and manage relationships with energy advisory services to optimize procurement strategies and capitalize on market opportunities.
- Provide expert advice on utility pricing and contract recommendations for all RES global utility agreements.
- Structure and manage Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and other innovative energy supply arrangements.
- Oversee the bill pay management function, whether handled internally or through external vendors.
- In partnership with the Sustainability team, leverage robust data collection and validation processes for all utility data (electricity, water, etc.).
- Integrate consumption data with financial information to develop and implement advanced data analytics techniques to identify trends, anomalies and optimization opportunities.
- Create and maintain interactive dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs), including consumption, cost, carbon emissions and progress toward targets.
- Provide monthly reporting to RES stakeholders on the performance of the utility management program, highlighting progress, risks and opportunities.
- Conduct benchmarking analyses to compare the performance of facilities across regions and identify best practices.
