Underwriting Manager - (Hybrid)
Compensation: $120,000-$150,000
Expectations
- Drive profitable growth and underwriting quality
- Build strong agency relationships
- Monitor portfolio performance and ensure compliance
- Lead a high-performing, development-focused team
- Manage and coach underwriters; oversee performance and development
- Track key metrics (production, retention, profitability)
- Maintain underwriting quality, service standards, and compliance
- Support hiring, training, and process improvements
- Engage with agencies and handle complex accounts as needed
- 6+ years commercial underwriting experience
- Leadership experience preferred
- Strong underwriting, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Effective communication and organizational abilities
- Knowledge of regulations, systems, and industry standards
