Responsibilities
Take ownership of all aspects of program and project management activities within an owned or supported workstream. Work closely with the steering committee to make sure that the scope and direction of each program and project is well understood. Lead meetings and working sessions with stakeholders, SME's, and senior leaders to assist with: developing the business case; developing project plans using appropriate tools, identifying key deliverables and timelines;
identifying and managing project dependencies and critical path items; taking action to troubleshoot problem areas. Develop task and milestone level project plans to execute against strategic goals and vision. Regularly analyze and report the progress of programs to leadership via executive level. Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
Act as change agents across the organization to influence behavior and challenge the status quo. Demonstrated project management skills and ability to deliver results. Drive cross-functional team deliverables, setting and administering schedules and managing projects. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. Act as liaison between steering committee, project teams and functional / technical resources.
& Experience
Excellent communication skills with ability to interact at all levels of the organization. Motivated self-starter able to operate on multiple, confidential, diverse fronts simultaneously with careful attention to detail. Works under limited direction and independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Must have intellectual curiosity and a willingness to delve into problems to understand root cause. Strong understanding of business processes (accounting, finance, manufacturing, supply chain etc.)
Business analysis - process design (current vs. future state). Bachelor's level degree required, Master's level degree preferred. A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted. Experience working in waterfall, iterative and agile development environments. Strong experience using Microsoft products including Excel, PowerPoint, Projects, Visio. Strong peripheral vision with the ability to see the big picture and to deal with ambiguity.
Outstanding analytical, conceptual and implementation skills; initiative, persuasiveness and a strong team spirit.
