Director, Development (Data Center Construction OFCI)
We are looking for an experienced professional to serve as QTS’ point of contact for new client builds and implementations, liaising between the sales, operations, property development teams and customers.
What You Will Do- Manage the customer deployment project delivery for each sold deal within each QTS location.
- Coordinate with the QTS Property Development Team and supporting specialty consultants to support customers’ design needs, pricing, approvals, and implementation of specific deployment scopes.
- Manage the delivery of these projects, aligning clients’ objectives, business processes, vendor management strategies, and cross-group collaboration across the QTS organization.
- Drive effective client relationship management and efficient cost management, aiming to deliver the project on time and on budget.
- Serve as a single contact for federal sales support on potential secured deals.
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or professional licenses in Construction Management or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Architecture.
- Ten or more years of progressive responsibility in the development of mission‑critical facilities.
- Five or more years of responsibility for data center project construction with large‑scale data centers or DC lease providers.
- Ability to travel as needed for the business.
- Experience managing multiple large, multi‑faced projects.
- Experience with construction health & safety.
- Knowledge of customer deployment technologies and equipment (RCDD a plus).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage deadlines and support staff.
- Ability to influence cross‑discipline teams.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations in a high‑growth company.
