Join our dynamic team as an EHS Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in fostering a safe and sustainable work environment. In this key position, you'll lead efforts to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, while driving initiatives that promote a culture of well‑being and responsible practices. Your expertise will be instrumental in safeguarding our employees and enhancing our commitment to environmental stewardship.
Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and manage environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Lead and coordinate EHS training programs for employees to promote awareness and understanding of safety protocols and best practices.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near‑mises to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures.
- Collaborate with management and staff to integrate EHS considerations into operational processes and decision‑making.
- Maintain and analyze EHS performance metrics and reports to assess the effectiveness of safety initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and external agencies to ensure compliance with all relevant EHS legislation and standards.
- Develop and oversee emergency response and preparedness plans, including coordinating drills and exercises.
- Manage the EHS budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support safety objectives.
- Lead and participate in EHS committees and meetings to foster a culture of safety throughout the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety management.
- In‑depth knowledge of EHS regulations and standards (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
- Proven track record of developing and implementing EHS policies and procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Competence in conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies.
- Experience in safety training and emergency response planning.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in EHS management systems and software.
- Certification in EHS‑related programs (e.g., CSP, CIH) is preferred.
- Experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
- Willingness to travel as required.
