Packaging Technician
As a Packaging Technician, you will be responsible for receiving batch orders, precisely weighing materials for packaging, and documenting all orders while compounding batches. This role requires standing throughout the day and ensuring accuracy in measurements.
Responsibilities- Receive and process batch orders.
- Weigh and package materials accurately.
- Document all orders and compound batches.
- Perform tasks such as packing, shipping and receiving, and picking.
- Operate sit-down forklifts and cherry pickers.
- Repackage and break down bulk orders for shipment.
- Manage inventory and ensure timely receipt and shipment of products in smaller quantities to customers.
- 1-2 years of experience in packaging or mixer batcher roles within a fast‑paced production or warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in packing, shipping, and receiving.
- Experience with inventory management and using equipment such as sit‑down forklifts and cherry pickers.
Skills & Qualifications
- General labor experience.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
This position offers a contract‑to‑hire opportunity in a climate‑controlled environment with a consistent 1st shift schedule. Enjoy a supportive team atmosphere with opportunities for growth.
Work EnvironmentWork in a climate‑controlled setting with a team of 40–50 colleagues in production and warehouse roles. The standard hours are 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime and rare weekend work. Enjoy two 15‑minute breaks and a 30‑minute unpaid lunch, with a dress code requiring closed‑toe shoes.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irving, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00–$23.00 per hour.
