Job Description – ERP Manufacturing Consultant (QAD)
Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced ERP Manufacturing Consultant with strong QAD expertise to lead the transition from Repetitive Manufacturing to Discrete Manufacturing. The role focuses on improving production visibility, enabling work-order-driven scheduling, optimizing manufacturing processes, and improving operational and financial accuracy across the manufacturing lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the transition from Repetitive to Discrete Manufacturing in QAD ERP.
- Analyze current manufacturing processes and design optimized discrete workflows.
- Implement Work Order-based production planning and scheduling.
- Improve material tracking, traceability, and shopfloor visibility.
- Reduce production delays and improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Configure and integrate Manufacturing with Inventory, Warehouse, and Finance.
- Improve cost tracking, financial postings, and transaction accuracy.
- Support requirement gathering, solution design, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with business, operations, and IT stakeholders for successful transformation.
- Strong knowledge of Discrete Manufacturing processes
- Hands-on experience with QAD ERP Manufacturing modules
- Production Planning & Scheduling using Work Orders
- Shopfloor Control / Manufacturing execution understanding
- Inventory, Material Management, and Manufacturing Costing
- QAD ERP configuration and process setup
- Master Data (BOM, Routing, Work Orders)
- Data migration and system integration
- Reporting and production visibility solutions
- Experience in Manufacturing transformation / ERP implementation
- Business process redesign and optimization
- Strong requirement analysis and stakeholder management
- Experience transitioning Repetitive → Discrete Manufacturing
- MES / Shopfloor system exposure
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Industry 4.0
- External system / integration experience
- Strong communication and stakeholder interaction
- Analytical and problem-solving ability
- Ability to drive change and transformation
- Self-driven and result-oriented
