What You Will DoPratt & Whitney’s Aviation Maintenance Technician will provide aircraft engine maintenance/repair and/or quick‑turn aircraft engine maintenance within our Dallas‑based shop. Duties include engine troubleshooting, repairs, module removal and replacement, and line maintenance (LRU removal and replacement).
- Perform aircraft engine maintenance on all models of Pratt & Whitney Commercial aircraft engines.
- Ensure all environmental health and safety, policy and procedural, and regulatory quality requirements are met.
- Assist the team in achieving first‑class turnaround time through collaboration, RTX’s CORE operating system, and continuous improvement processes.
- Follow Aircraft Maintenance Manual, Engine Shop Manual, and other approved technical data.
- Perform other supplementary shop and housekeeping duties as required.
- Build internal and external relationships through good communication and customer understanding.
- Report directly to the Site Operations Leader at the Dallas, TX site.
- Work an on‑site day shift, typically 2:30 pm – 10:00 pm.
- HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g., G.E.D) with a minimum of one year of relevant experience.
- Minimum six months of experience repairing commercial aircraft engines.
- Holder of a valid Federal Aviation Administration Airframe & Powerplant license.
- Analytical skills and an analytical approach to problem solving.
