Maintenance at Amazon:
Operations is at the heart of Amazon’s business. Reliability Maintenance & Engineering (RME) partners to maintain robotics and material handling equipment (MHE) to support fast, accurate service across the network. As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems. You will have the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, and mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles.

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more
• Maintain positive working relationships across the Amazon Operations facility
• Move up to 49 lbs, stand and walk during shifts up to 12 hours, climb ladders and gangways safely, and perform regular bending, lifting, and reaching

• High school or equivalent diploma
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
• Willing to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• Certification from Amazon's Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship Program, or 2+ years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience
• 2+ years of predictive and preventative maintenance procedures experience
• 2+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics experience
• 2+ years of safety standards experience
• 2+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment (MHE) experience

• Experience with robotic operation and maintenance
• 2+ years of electrical and electronic principles experience
• Associate's degree in Mechanical or Electrical
• 2+ years of Mechanical or Electrical apprenticeship experience

The starting pay for this position includes base pay plus the highest available shift differential, depending on shift selection. As a total compensation company, you are eligible for overtime pay and performance bonuses. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location.
