We’re an international company, with solid roots in Irving, and we have opportunities for dynamic people to join our local team. This position is part of the Irving’s Plant Maintenance Team and plays a role in improving overall reliability and performance of manufacturing and infrastructure equipment. This opportunity is critical to the performance and continued growth of our Roofing plant.
Job Description- Installs, modifies, or maintains plant equipment and assists in determining appropriate methods to accomplish these tasks.
- Inspects plant equipment to identify potential problems prior to breakdown occurrent.
- Ability to precision align belts, gears or direct coupled shafts using proper tools to specified tolerances.
- Answer line calls in a prompt manner and carry required tools to complete work safety and efficiently.
- Complete scheduled jobs and work orders as assigned.
- Assist during process upsets as needed.
- Participate in safety and plant trainings.
- Participating in Root Cause Analysis and TPM meetings
- High School Diploma or GED and be at least 18 Years Old
- Thinking under pressure, making quick and strategic decisions
- Working independently, as well as part of a team, and have shift flexibility.
- Show initiative, be a self-starter, and be able to train and coach others.
- Communicate, in English, in a clear and effective manner.
- Operate a computer, learn SAP and Microsoft Office Tools (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Lubrication principles and bearing tolerances.
- Ability to take and score at an acceptable level on a Maintenance Skill Test
- Hydraulic systems, pumps, motor control, power circuitry, PLC’s, and welding,
- Troubleshooting fixes and predictive maintenance work. Array of mechanical work: welding, fabricating, precision alignment, light electrical, troubleshooting, gear boxes, motors, and conveyor work.
