Maintenance Team Manager

Position Overview

Under the general direction of the Engineering/Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Team Manager will be responsible for the maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of a variety of production equipment at our facility.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in all maintenance crafts including basic electrical, mechanics, welding, machine shop.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required to closely interact with co‑workers in and outside of the Maintenance Department.
• Demonstrated ability to methodically analyze and correct problems of a varied nature on a wide range of equipment and support systems.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be a certified forklift operator.
• Must be able to maneuver around equipment, climb stairs, and use ladders to reach various equipment.
• Ability to work overtime daily and on weekends, sometimes with minimal notice; flexibility with shift hours required.
• Ability to work up to heights of 45 ft on material handling equipment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of CMMS and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of Planned Maintenance practices.
• Process improvement ability and leadership.
• Must be able to work individually and as part of a team.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year experience supervising employees in a manufacturing/production/industrial environment.
• Minimum of one year experience leading others through projects or initiatives.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work across functions and interact with all levels of the organization.
• Excellent analytical skills and problem‑solving capabilities to assess risk.
• Demonstrated understanding of the financial impact of business decisions affecting staffing, product components, and inventory.
• Experience successfully leading large teams to support business initiatives.
• Dynamic self‑starter, works independently, applies sound judgment to solve complex problems with incomplete and/or ambiguous information, and proactively initiates action steps.
• Experience successfully handling multiple projects at once and working under pressure.
• Collaborative problem‑resolution ability.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Ability to propose and implement improvements to systems, methods of work, and analysis methods and contribute to ensuring they are continuously adapted to business requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.

• Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience in food processing.
• Experience in plumbing, millwright, and carpentry.
• Welding experience including certification in basic welding.
• PLC and industrial electrical experience.
• Robotic and conventional palletizer experience.
• Dense phase pneumatic conveying experience.
• Hands‑on experience with new equipment installation.
• Experience with boiler, chillers, air compressors.
• Trade school, certificate, or apprenticeship in industrial maintenance.
• Experience with food processing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and relay logic.
