Responsibilities- Assist the supervisor in ensuring the production line runs efficiently.
- Plan production line runs with the Production Supervisor.
- Direct activities of other hourly employees when the supervisor is not present.
- Maintain quality and throughput expectations.
- Ensure raw material is staged for the daily production line.
- Monitor and track production throughput, yields, and quality; correct inefficiencies.
- Set up the production line after USDA release.
- Communicate concerns related to production safety and employee relations to management.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support production demands, as specified by customers.
Display positive attitude and teamwork skills. Must complete a pre‑employment physical and drug test. Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day and frequently bend, lift, and twist. Must be available to work overtime as required.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Experience in a similar role within a food production environment is a plus.
Other Requirements:
Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus but not required.
High noise, varied temperatures (warm to cold), slippery floors, moving equipment and dust may be present. Employees will wear personal protective equipment as necessary or required.
