The Ground Crew II position is a valuable, hybrid position that supports the efficient execution of plant (Stationary and Portable) locations in the day-to-day operations. In addition, this position has the skills to drive a Ready-Mix truck on the Portable Station property and ensures that the facilities, trucks, and equipment are clean. This position supports daily concrete and material productions. The Ground Crew II position may be crossed-trained to move to a Loader Operator, Batch Plant Operator, or a Mixer-Driver.
EssentialFunctions
- Ability to operate:
Skid Steer Loader, Forklift/Telehandler, Ski Left - Functions as a back-up to the Loader Operator
- Responsible for filling-up Saddle Bags/Water Tanks in Trucks
- Performs basic maintenance on the Plant buildings and equipment:
- Painting
- Scrub paint
- Clean Mixer Trucks
- Grease equipment
- Clean equipment
- Clean break room, bathrooms, refrigerator
- Ability to drive the Water Truck
- Ability to work flexible shifts both pertaining to days of the work and work hours.
- Ability to drive a Ready-Mix truck. Those without a CDL will only drive the Ready-Mix truck on the property of the Portable Stations.
- Those with a completed drivers qualification file may be asked to drive the Ready-Mix truck on the property of the Portable Station and on public roads.

- Able to perform duties with minimal supervision
- Able to work varying shifts, as needed, outdoors, in varying weather conditions
- Education:
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this position - Experience:
Zero to four years of work experience in the concrete industry, prefer experience in the maintenance and operation of plant facilities, mobile equipment and/or equipment used in processing plants.
