Position Overview

We are seeking a hands‑on, mechanically inclined Machine Maintenance Technician to join our growing manufacturing team in Irving, Texas. This role is ideal for a maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, solving mechanical problems, and working in a fast‑paced production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving production equipment to ensure maximum uptime, efficiency, and product quality.

This position requires someone who can work independently, take ownership of assigned responsibilities, and contribute to the ongoing development of maintenance processes and systems. Our maintenance department is actively expanding and implementing new maintenance programs and technologies, including the Tractian Preventive Maintenance Management System. Candidates with experience in nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, packaging, or other manufacturing environments are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production machinery and facility equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Inspect machinery regularly to identify wear, damage, or potential failures before breakdowns occur.
  • Repair and replace motors, bearings, conveyors, belts, chains, sensors, pneumatic components, and other machine parts.
  • Assist with machine installations, equipment upgrades, and production line improvements.
Preventive Maintenance Program
  • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks using the company's maintenance management system.
  • Utilize Tractian software to document maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and equipment history.
  • Ensure maintenance schedules are completed accurately and on time.
  • Recommend improvements to maintenance procedures and equipment reliability.
Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement
  • Analyze recurring equipment issues and identify root causes.
  • Support initiatives aimed at improving machine efficiency, reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with production personnel to resolve equipment‑related issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Participate in process improvement projects and equipment optimization efforts.
Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Comply with OSHA regulations and workplace safety requirements.
  • Utilize proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures when performing maintenance activities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Participate in safety training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and repair documentation.
  • Update work orders and preventive maintenance activities within the Tractian maintenance system.
  • Communicate equipment issues, repair status, and recommendations to supervisors and production teams.
  • Track parts usage and identify inventory requirements for maintenance supplies.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial maintenance environment.
  • Experience performing equipment maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of production machinery, electric motors, conveyors, pneumatic systems, mechanical drives and power transmission systems, basic electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Comfortable learning and utilizing maintenance software systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in nutraceutical manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, food & beverage manufacturing, or packaging operations.
  • Technical certification or vocational training in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Technology, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or related field.
