Brake Press Operator Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $ 20.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• Weekend work required
• First Shift (Monday through Saturday from 07:00am to 05:00pm)

• Operate CNC and manual brake press machines to bend and form steel components for commercial door manufacturing.
• Receive 14-gauge and 16-gauge metal from the punch press station and bend/form materials according to production sequencing.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production drawings.
• Set up brake press tooling and make machine adjustments to ensure accurate bends and finished parts.
• Verify height, depth, and dimensional tolerances using calipers, gauges, tape measures, and other precision measuring instruments.

Qualifications:

• Previous brake press or metal fabrication experience preferred.
• Experience operating Cincinnati or Salvagnini brake press equipment is preferred but not required.
• Ability to read blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
• Ability to accurately use calipers, gauges, tape measures, and other precision measuring tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet daily production goals while maintaining high quality standards.
• Ability to frequently lift materials, stand for extended periods, and perform constant bending, twisting, and repetitive movements throughout the shift.
