Short Version
A Receiver/Loader is required to unload and load incoming and outgoing trailers by following standard operating procedures (SOP) which may include sorting, palletizing, and moving product.
Responsibilities- Unload and load product by following standard operating procedures.
- May use electric Power Jack to move pallets and/or product as needed.
- Maintain a positive, supportive attitude towards the Company, job, customers, and co-workers.
- Meet minimum standards and accuracy standards and delivery deadlines.
- Maintain a safe, neat, and clean work area by adhering to San Mar safety regulations.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and identify colors, sizes, quantity, label, and SKU information.
- Basic math skills in counting and quantity.
- Demonstrated ability to follow directions and change priorities or job duties as business needs require.
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a high-demand, high-volume environment while meeting deadlines.
- Able to work independently and within a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Comprehends verbal and written instructions.
- Essential days or overtime may be required.
- May need to complete and maintain San Mar’s Lift Operator Certification every three years.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, talk, and hear constantly. The employee frequently lifts or moves up to 60 pounds, operates powered equipment, and engages in repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions. The employee may climb stairs, kneel/squat, bend, and carry. Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Employee may be required to wear a headset and personal protective equipment such as a protective harness while operating equipment. Basic English literacy is required for machine operation and daily paperwork. Work environment is moderately noisy, with occasional exposure to conveyor systems, dust, and weather changes. Typical warehouse conditions include exposure to ambient lighting, extreme heat, and cold.
