Shift: 7:30am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday
What You’ll Do:
The tasks and responsibilities required of the Machine Operator Level II are outlined below:
Completes routine inspections of machinery before and after each shift
Sets up, operates, and adjusts bagging equipment with minimal supervision
Runs multiple machines while maintaining efficiency and accuracy
Breaks down and reassembles equipment to ensure proper functionality
Programs machines, makes adjustments, and creates new programs as needed
Monitors and adjusts equipment (e.g., conveyors, scales) to maintain optimal performance
Maintains accurate production and equipment records
Performs in-line quality checks and audits product to ensure accuracy and quality standards
Follows and enforces all GMP, safety, and sanitation requirements throughout the shift
Utilizes statistical process analysis to monitor machine performance
Monitors and manages hourly production output to ensure consistent performance and efficiency
Tracks and analyzes production metrics, identifying performance gaps and opportunities
Assists with shift reporting, downtime tracking, and production summaries
Maintains appropriate inventory levels of raw materials required for production
Acts as a team lead, supporting operators and assisting with line downtime
Directs temporary workforce and assigns tasks on the production floor
Provides real-time coaching and support to operators to improve performance
Assists with training new employees and supports ongoing development efforts
Identifies and documents training needs and maintains training records
Coordinates line assignments and reallocates labor to maintain production flow Serves as the first point of escalation for operational issues and partners with maintenance or leadership as needed
Steps in to operate Flex Lines efficiently when required
Identifies opportunities for process improvement and supports continuous improvement initiatives
Participates in special projects as assigned
Responsible for overall line performance accountability, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and efficiency metrics are consistently met Adheres to all Safety, Quality, and Productivity standards
What We’re Looking For:
The skills and qualifications required for Machine Operator Level II are evaluated below:
High school diploma or GED required
Ability to read a tape measure
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
Experience operating production or packaging equipment preferred
Experience with statistical methods preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills (bilingual a plus)
Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot issues effectively
Ability to work in a team environment and motivate others to achieve department goals
Demonstrated leadership ability and experience training or mentoring operators preferred
Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to lift 35–75 pounds
Ability to work overtime, including weekends, as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
