Position: PIT I (Pallet Jack Operator)

Qualifications:

Display positive attitude and teamwork skills. Must complete a pre-employment physical and drug test. Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day. Ability tofrequentlybend, lift and twist. Must be able and available to work overtime as required.

Job Summary:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following:
Transporting loads using a pallet jack as assigned by manager/supervisor, verifies/matcheslabelsand production contents.

Essential Functions:

Load raw materials into dumper (by PO/Kill Date requested by Lead/Supervisor/Machine Operator) to correct line

Remove product from line “Weigh”

Assure product is properly labeled, covered, and stretched wrapped before removing from area

Assure pallet is not damaged, is free of chicken or broken boards of finished goods

Place all finished goods in a bin in SAP

Cleaning of floor to assure Sanitation gets started promptly

Write issues to be sent to production

Stage product for production lines or department to department

Responsible ofoperatingthe pallet jack underit’smaximum weight allowed by OEM

Communicating with management when there are concerns with the following

Production Safety Employee relations

Performs other related duties as assigned to support production demands as may be specified by customer or client

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Education :
High school diploma or equivalent

Experience :
One year work experience.

Other Requirements :
No other requirements.

Working Conditions:

High noise, varied temperatures (warm to cold), slippery floors, moving equipment and dust may be present. Employees will wear personal protective equipment as necessary or required.
